Natural England is proposing to extend the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks as shown on the map.

LD EAST – Proposed Eastern extension to the Lake District National Park

LD SOUTH – Proposed Southern extension to the Lake District National Park

YD NORTH – Proposed Northern extension to the Yorkshire Dales National Park

YD WEST– Proposed Western extension to the Yorkshire Dales National Park

ORTON FELLS – The Orton Fells is also proposed for inclusion in either the Lake District eastern extension or the Yorkshire Dales northern extension
